Patricia has a lifelong history of taking charge, stepping up, and solving challenges. As a first-generation Mexican American, she prepared meals on weekends for her younger siblings when her parents were at work, taught her father to use a computer (she was 10 at the time), and served as the family’s translator when legal, medical, or school documents needed to be reviewed and signed.
Patricia’s dream was to help people and/or change people’s lives for the better. Becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant after high school made the most sense to start working toward that goal. Her role at the skilled nursing facility was often described as “angels work.” Everyone loved her dedication and compassion, and she enjoyed helping the residents, but something about the environment wasn’t right for her. She wanted more. She decided it was time to try corporate America.
As a first step, Patricia accepted a temporary position at a $300M manufacturing and distribution company. She liked the fast-paced environment, loved the learning component, and the factory smelled better than the nursing home. Within a few months, due to her determination, commitment, natural talent, and proficiency using technology, Patricia was brought on full time.
Once fulltime, she was asked to fill many different roles throughout the company ranging from getting a new manufacturing plant up and stable to helping implement and train on a new ERP system? Throughout, she was known for her ability to learn quickly and deliver quality, while still helping others to learn and grow. Eventually, Patricia decided she would be most happy using her passion and skills to fill a similar need, but on a broader scale. That’s when Patricia joined VENN Strategy Group.
Patricia feels working for Venn provides her the opportunity to use a personal touch with individuals while helping companies achieve bigger goals. At the strategic level, she works with clients to map out goals and stay accountable through project management. As a tactical facilitator, Patricia rolls up her sleeves and helps create tools and solutions, all while delivering exceptional, empathic service.
